Silencing the Dog Tags.

I had to pull out an old trick I learned back in the ‘Nam. Silencing the dog tags with a judicious application of Electrical Tape.

Now they’re nearly silent, which as it turns out is both a good and bad thing.

Cristy at Puppy Class

Josh has been heading to LA about once a week for work and this past week his trip fell on a Thursday, puppy class day. Fortunately for me, Aunt Cristy agreed to come along.

Stay tuned for graduation pictures next week…

First Trip to the Dog Park

•March 18, 2007 • Leave a Comment

So we took the girls to this awesome Dog Park close to our house (we’re gonna have to go every week). There are two sections: one for little dogs and one for big dogs. So of course we went to the big dog section (not big fans of the yippee dogs). The girls loved it! As usual Naama submitted to everyone and for the first time Lyla got chased around and submitted to some big dogs. They played in the mud and ran around with Josh and had a ton of fun. They didn’t climb into the cement pipes yet, maybe next time.

Our First Trip to the Vet

•March 14, 2007 • 4 Comments

We took the girls to the vet and they just loved it! Who wouldn’t with new people to lick and cheese whiz to eat. They were so into the cheese whiz they didn’t even notice that the vet gave them their shots.

Here’s a picture of the girls waiting patiently for their doctor to arrive.

Here’s Josh with our little love bug; she will happily lick your face all day long!!

New Collars & Tags

•March 5, 2007 • 3 Comments

The girls had worn their baby collars thin and since they have been chewing them up we decided to go with the heavy duty ones (especially since you can just snap it on although they haven’t managed to get these off one another). The collars are pink (not to Josh’s delight), but now no one will mistake them for boys. Though Josh was adamant about the leash, that is definitely black.

Second Bath!

•February 28, 2007 • 3 Comments

The puppies enjoyed their second bath much more than the first. The bath water was SO dirty. We had to drain and refill the bath water for the second pup. After the bath, we tried to dry them off repeatedly but their coats are thick and so Josh suggested the hair dryer. They were definitely NOT fans. We even tried putting treats near the hair dryer, but they wouldn’t come close. They do smell great…for now…
